Whole-home air cleaners work with the HVAC system to capture particles as air moves through the return and supply system. They can be a useful upgrade when dust, pollen, pet dander or filtration performance is a concern.
Scogin-Aire offers Carrier air purification and filter cabinet options at different filtration levels.
MERV is one common way to compare how effectively filters capture particles. Higher filtration is not automatically better for every system because airflow also needs to be considered.
A filter needs to capture particles without creating more resistance than the HVAC system can handle.
These products are installed with the central system so air is filtered as the HVAC equipment runs.
Filters and purifier cartridges need regular inspection and replacement to keep the system working as intended.
