About Magnolia, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Magnolia is a small city located 40 miles north of Houston, Texas. It is positioned in Montgomery County in the Houston Metropolitan Area. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were almost 2,000 people living in Magnolia. It is the 7th largest city in Montgomery County, Texas.

Magnolia was settled in the late 1840s. The city was originally known as Mink’s Prairie. It was named in honor of an early settler. By 1850, the name of the community had been shortened to Mink. A post office was operating in the city by 1885 and John F. Dobbs was the first postmaster. At the turn of the 20th century, the International-Great Northern Railroad constructed a line through the area and the community relocated to be near the rail line. The community was renamed Magnolia for the number of magnolia trees in the area. The community continued to thrive as new residents and businesses were attracted. In 1968, Magnolia was incorporated.
